I want to sell you your dream home. I want you to have everything that you've ever wanted. I will find you that dream home if possible, but in many cases that doesn't exist. I will sell you your ideal home. There is a difference between what you need and what you want.
As an exercise, I'd like you to Picture your dream home. Imagine you're driving up to it. Imagine you're pulling up to the house. Is it on your left or your right? What do you see? Do you see a hedge? Do you see a fence? Do you see a rock garden? Walk in the front door. Does it open to a foyer or a hallway? Can you see the living room? Are there stairs? Walk through your entire house and write down what you want. Then go through that list again and decide what you need. Somewhere in between those two lists is your ideal home.
